(January 1, 2012) -- Thanks to all the racers who came
out and supported us at the Hangover Nationals.
Great weather great racing and it was so nice to see
so many new racers. This was our first event since all
of our Track surface improvements and I must say it is
awesome. Smooth as Glass and Bad A$$! I just can't thank
Brandon and the crew enough for the job they did to get
it race ready on the First shot.
I also want to Congratulate Brandon Taylor on a
impressive win on Saturday and what a tribute to Charlie
Fouts, one of the nicest men i ever met and a huge loss
to our sport. I think Charlie must have been giving
Brandon a few driving lessons! Just kidding, i know
Charlie was a dear friend to Brandon and it had to be a
great feeling to put The Fouts Toy back in the Winners
Circle on it's first race back at MMP.
I also want to congratulate Jeff Rucks in the
Mountain Magic machine for Winning our Sunday Event. All
I can say is if there is big bucks on the line and Rucks
is in the Event you better bring your A Game because
this guy is Bad to the Bone. On top of all of that he
brought half of Sand Mountain with him to the track!
What a great guy and a great racer.
Footbrake/NoBox was awesome this weekend. Biggest
bottom bulb race of the season. Danny Rockhold from
Theodore Al took his Vega to the winners circle on
Friday. Tony Miles from Tiplersville Ms took his
beautiful Walnut Motorswork 1970 Duster to the winners
circle on Sunday. Amii Hendrix marched thru the Jr
Dragster field with an impressive win on Saturday and
Sunday to pick up the double! Great job Amii.
All and all it was a very nice weekend and with with
over 180 entries in the event, it looks like things are
looking up for 2012.
See you at The Track!
