Saturday Update
(Feb
4, 2007) — A Pro Mod from the stable
of racing legend Ellis Milner turned in the best time Saturday in the first
day of the Montgomery MotorSports Park Season-Opening Test and Tune.
After battling cold conditions all day,
Lynne Milner's nitrous-powered '57 Chevy roared to a 4.37 (1.12 60
foot)...considered outstanding for the conditions. The run put a smile on
Lynne's face as well as that of Mr. Milner and gives her a world of
confidence heading
into the Flowmaster ADRL season opener in two weeks at MMP.
Saturday didn't go as well for defending
Flowmaster Pro Nitrous World Champ Keith Baker, who had a monster nitrous
fire on the starting line. Keith is fine, but his ride will need some TLC
between now and the start of the SpeedTech Winter Drags February 16 at
Montgomery MotorSports Park.
Tomorrow, the weatherman promises sunny
skies and temperatures close to 60 degrees; gates will open at MMP at 9am
and the Test and Tune will continue until 5pm.
