Raindrops Win at MMP
George Howard to Announce Bigger, Better MMP Schedule, Events

(May 7, 2006) -- The rains came...and wouldn't go away...so, with six cars
left in Pro ET and five in Footbrake, Montgomery Motorsports Park had to
call a halt to the bracket program on Saturday (5/6).
During the event,
MMP promoter George Howard announced that the track would be dark on
Saturday, May 13, to give him and the track staff time to work on the
track's 2006 schedule.
Howard stressed that the track's popular Friday Test and Tune Sessions
will continue from 7pm - 11:30pm each Friday (gates open at 6pm).
"I took over Montgomery Motorsports Park's operations in mid-February on
almost no notice; due to other events I had already scheduled at my other
tracks as well as at other venues, I just haven't had time to pay
attention to MMP like I wanted to. I thought we'd give the track staff a
well-earned week off this Saturday (5/13) to give us all time to get our
heads together and finish up the year's schedule,'" said Howard.
"I can
promise racers and spectators this: There will be more big-bucks bracket
racing at Montgomery Motorsports Park very soon. There will also be
heads-up racing as well as special events. I hope to have most of this new
2006 schedule completed within the next few days."
Howard asked racers and fans to watch this web site for further
announcements.
