Show and Go at MMP a Huge Success
(May 1, 2006) -- The first annual Capital City Corvette Club "Show and
Go" at Montgomery MotorSports Park on Saturday (4/29) was a huge success
with over 100 cars, trucks and motorcycles registered for the show
and hundreds of spectators enjoying the free event, which benefited the
American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
The car show was judged by the registrants and spectators and the winners
were:
- Best Car - Jimmy (Jocko) Lewis of Birmingham for his 1995
Corvette
- Best Truck - Bob and Linda Carney of McCalla, AL for their
1955 Chevy pickup
- Best Motorcycle - Dave Patrick of Pike Road, AL for his 2003
Harley-Davidson Heritage Soft tail Classic

George Howard Receives Plaque from Capital City Corvette Club |
The Corvette Club named the "Best in Show" award after Montgomery
MotorSports Park promoter George Howard's wife Reba Jo, who died of
cancer last year. The award went to the 1966 Corvette Sting Ray owned by Butek Porco of Montgomery.
